Design Engineer-Exhaust (Catia)

Responsibilities B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 35 years of experience Good understanding of GDT and tolerance analysis Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming and welding Strong proficiency in CAD tools (NX / Catia / Creo) Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for exhaust systems including pipes, brackets, heat shields and catalyst housings Prepare production drawings with GDT and tolerance specifications Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure assembly fit and function Participate in DFMEA discussions and support risk identification Support packaging feasibility studies within vehicle constraints Manage engineering changes and design updates through PLM workflows Coordinate with CAE and system engineering teams for design validation Support prototype builds and incorporates feedback into design updates Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions Ensure compliance with company CAD standards and modeling practices Develop CAD models for fabricated exhaust components considering manufacturing constraints Support supplier drawing alignment during design development Maintain BOM structure and support PLM release activities Incorporate packaging and validation feedback into CAD updates
