About the role
BIW Fixture Engineer Experience: 3 to 6 years Technical Skills: Hands on Experience in Designing Detailing of spot welding/MIG welding fixtures (automated and manual) Tool Skills : - CATIA V5, UG NX Job Description Concept Design (Design clamps, pin units stationary as well as retractable, slides and dumps) Exposure to Welding Lines Process Layout (Spot Welding, ARC welding) Performs basic engineering calculations to verify design integrity Create 2D manufacturing drawings and BOM Knowledge of tolerances and materials Read and understand GDT drawings Design experience in BIW welding fixtures Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process Experience in working on various OEMs like GM, VW, BMW, FORD, DAIMLER etc., Experience in conducting Technical Review with customer Exposure to multiple CAD tools will be an added advantage Experience in Teamcenter will be added advantage
