Role Title: Failure Mode & Reliability Analysis Engineer Experience: 3-8Years Industry: Automotive OEM / Automotive Product Development Location: Pune Job Summary We are seeking a highly analytical Failure Mode & Reliability Analysis Engineer with experience in Automotive OEM development processes. The role involves analyzing product failures, identifying reliability trends, conducting risk assessments, and leveraging advanced analytics and AI tools to improve product performance and quality. The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve historical failure databases for automotive products and systems. - Analyze field, warranty, test, and production failure data to identify recurring issues and performance trends. - Perform Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and risk assessments to support product reliability improvements. - Utilize AI/ML-based analytical tools to identify patterns, predict failure trends, and generate actionable insights. - Design, develop, and maintain Power BI/Tableau dashboards for failure analytics, reliability tracking, and management reporting. - Generate periodic engineering, quality, and executive-level performance reports. - Support reliability engineering, product validation, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Testing, and Supplier Quality. - Ensure compliance with OEM quality standards, documentation requirements, data governance, and information security policies. - Monitor product reliability KPIs and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline. - Experience in Automotive OEM product development processes. - Strong knowledge of - DFMEA / PFMEA - Failure Analysis & Root Cause Analysis - Reliability Engineering - Risk Assessment Methodologies - Automotive Quality Standards - Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau. - Experience working with large datasets and engineering analytics. - Familiarity with AI/ML tools for predictive maintenance, failure prediction, or trend analysis. - Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, ISO 26262, IATF 16949. - Experience with warranty data analysis and reliability growth programs. - Exposure to Python, SQL, or statistical analysis tools. Understanding of vehicle systems, components, and automotive validation processes .
