Senior Electrical Modeller – MEP

Position: Senior Electrical Modeller - MEP Location: Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India Experience: 6+ Years Department: MEP / BIM Engineering Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Modeller - MEP to join our engineering team in Jamshedpur. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Revit MEP (Electrical) with a focus on cable tray design, cable routing, junction box (JB) layout, and electrical equipment modelling. Proficiency in Navisworks for clash detection and AutoCAD for drafting is essential. Key Responsibilities: . Develop accurate 3D electrical MEP models using Revit, adhering to project specifications and industry standards. . Model cable trays, cable routing, junction boxes, and electrical equipment layout for buildings and infrastructure. . Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams for effective MEP integration. . Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage. . Review and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, and technical drawings. . Generate detailed electrical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation. . Support project teams in BIM coordination meetings and model reviews. . Ensure compliance with company and client-specific BIM standards and protocols. . Collaborate with design engineers to update models as per design changes. Requirements: . Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. . Minimum 6 years of experience as an Electrical Modeller in MEP/BIM projects. . Expert in Revit (Electrical discipline) with hands-on experience in large-scale MEP projects. . Strong knowledge of: - Cable tray routing & supports - Cable management and JB placement - Electrical room layouts - Electrical equipment modelling . Proficient in Navisworks (clash detection and coordination workflows). . Skilled in AutoCAD for 2D electrical drafting. . Good understanding of MEP coordination, BIM workflows, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, IS codes). . Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Nice to Have: . Experience in industrial or infrastructure MEP projects. . Familiarity with BIM 360 or other common data environments (CDEs). . Basic understanding of electrical load calculations or design principles (not mandatory).
