About the role
Provide VMware support including incident and work requests within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMWare ESX environments Configure and optimize the virtual infrastructure Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirementsProvide security compliance under relevant security policiesLiaise on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administratorsProvide support and advice to projects requiring IT platforms support;Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurringProactively identify inefficiencies in operations with the objective of improving the quality of the working environment Requirements:Experience and demonstrated skills in systems administration which includes; 24x7 operations, Virtualization environments (VMware) across multiple VMWare ESX environments, and Multiple data centersIn depth knowledge in Windows Server 2003, 2003R2, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 , 2012R2 ,2016 , 2019 and 2022. Manage & Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructureManage & Maintain VMware infrastructureIn depth knowledge in DNS, DHCP and file servicesResponsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by co-ordinating with Datacentre engineers.Identify issues is Windows environment proactively. Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in WindowsHealth check of Windows environmentResponsible for managing McAfee ePO server & managing latest DAT versions on all client systemsResponsible for applying security patches to windows servers using WSUS & SCCM toolsResponsible for building & hardening windows serversAnalyse server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidentsManage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS shares .
