VC Engineer

Job Purpose: Provides configuration and support for data, voice, storage, and/or video network components, which may include contact center and network security technology. Provides day to day support to ensure proper network operations. Works to develop mastery in one network discipline and basic understanding of others to enable participation in on-call rotations related to critical services in multiple countries, and to support projects in the area of mastery. Responsibilities: Provides operational support for network components and services with support from more senior engineers in critical and/or highly complex situations. Examples include switches, routers, and contact center technology. Provides lead support for video networking. (35%) Performs routine network hardware and software configuration, and limited programming to meet client and project requirements. Examples include switches, routers, contact center agents, and VPN. Provides primary support for video networking to support sophisticated conference rooms, offices and individuals regionally. (35%) Creates and maintains technical documentation, asset inventories and configuration information. (20%) Analyzes vendor invoices for accuracy, maintains inventory and orders equipment (10%) Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience. Bachelors Degree with Network Engineering or Related Field of Study preferred. Associate Degree with Network Engineering or Related field of study required. Other Education / Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate, Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency. Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information. Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills. Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
