Job Description:
Job Overview TE Connectivity is seeking a MGR II MFG & PROCESS DVL AUTOMATION for Data & Device BU with location in Thailand. The MPDE Automation Manager will lead a team of automation engineers tasked with developing assembly processes for high-speed cable assemblies and coordinating with the Thailand manufacturing engineering team on the transition to mass production. Job Requirements Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.
Lead a team of engineers who will:
Develop cable assembly automation lines in accordance with LEANPD product development
Drive for excellence in existing automation technologies and methods
Strive to implement new automation technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control
Support Product Development in the optimization designs (DFM) and piece parts for automation manufacturability; realize proof of concept tooling, product samples and prototypes.
Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE Data and Devices quality and production standards.
Support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.
Act as the binding element between product development and automation engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.
Maintain communication with project management team to understand current and future strategic business needs
Prioritize and time manage a portfolio of projects/work efforts based on criticality and business need
Provide readouts to Director and VP level cross function management as necessary
Work with Thailand operations team to assign resources necessary for the successful execution of new automation development
Facilitate and coordinate cross-function communication across globally matrixed organization
What your background should look like

Bachelor or above degree with mechanical/electric related majors;

At least 5 years related experience managerial level in multinational manufacturing site;

Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma. etc. industrial methods/tools;

With 5 years or above work experience in cable assembly automation is preferred;

Fluent in English and good presentation skills.

Familiar with MS software.

Familiar with industrial specification (i.e. IPC 620 Competencies SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
