Job Description:
Job Overview The Test Engineer will play a critical role in the setup, execution and analysis of DV, PV and Qualification testing for sensor products such as Pressure, Resolver, Temperature, Speed and Position Sensors. This role requires hands-on approach, strong analytical skills and understanding of international standards and test methodologies and supports the central T&V lab in Bangalore, collaborates with global engineering team to ensure validation activities meet with the required standards, cost and schedule goals. Job Requirements
Plan and execute validation and reliability tests for sensor products in accordance with global and customer-specific standards.
Interpret and apply standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 17025, ISO 13485, AEC-Q100/102/103.
Develop test procedures, and reports aligned with product requirements and regulatory needs.
Develop and maintain test methods, fixtures and documentation in compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.
Operate and maintain test equipment for electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing for maintenance, calibration and test efficiency.
Analyze test data using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab), identify trends, and recommend design or process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and manufacturing to resolve technical issues.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for test failures.
Contribute to lab standardization and continuous improvement initiatives in test methods, automation, and lab efficiency.
Ensure Test activities are executed safely in compliance with EHS safety, quality, and documentation standards in the lab environment
What your background should look like
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field.
Experience: 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in product validation, reliability testing, or test engineering preferably in sensors or automotive domain
Experience in DV/PV test plan preparation, test execution, data analysis and test reports.
Strong knowledge of environmental, mechanical, and electrical testing methods.
Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python) and data acquisition systems.
Expertise in ISO 17025, IATF, AEC-Q qualification Test methodologies is a must.
Skilled in use of DAQ, Oscilloscopes, Lab Instruments, Pressure / Vibration / Humidity, Climatic chambers, etc
Proficiency in interpreting and applying international and customer-specific standards.
Hands-on experience with test equipment and instrumentation.
