About the role
As an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist at our company in Saharanpur, your role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards. You will be responsible for conducting regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, you will plan and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to foster a strong safety culture among all team members. Your daily tasks will also include maintaining EHS documentation, preparing compliance reports, coordinating with production and maintenance teams on safe work practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, health, and environmental performance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards. - Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. - Plan and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture. - Maintain EHS documentation, prepare compliance reports, and coordinate with production and maintenance teams on safe work practices. - Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, health, and environmental performance. Qualifications: - Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and standards. - Demonstrated experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program development, implementation, and continuous improvement. - Proven skills in Workplace Safety practices, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation. - Experience in designing and delivering effective Safety Training and awareness programs for diverse teams. - Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication environments; experience in metal fabrication or industrial settings is preferred. - Strong communication, documentation, and report-writing skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. - Certification in EHS, OSHA, NEBOSH, or similar credentials is an advantage. - Ability to work on-site in Saharanpur, manage multiple priorities, and respond promptly to urgent safety issues.
