Roles & Responsibilities Job Title Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot) Experience 5+ Years Position Full time Working Mode Job Summary On-site The Java Backend Developer at SandCup is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. This role will support core fintech modules such as payments, transactions, ledgers, KYC, and other financial workflows that require reliability, security, and strong system performance. The developer will work across API development, microservices, cloud infrastructure, database design, security, testing, and deployment workflows. This role requires strong backend engineering experience, clear understanding of financial systems, and the ability to build production-ready services with accountability and precision. Responsibilities To design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. To build backend services for fintech modules such as payments, transactions, ledgers, KYC, and related workflows. To architect and manage backend services on AWS using EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch. To design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database structures, queries, and caching strategies for better performance. To implement backend security practices using OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, encryption, and OWASP guidelines. To support financial data protection and compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS and applicable regulatory standards. To build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. To collaborate with frontend teams using working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for smooth API integration. To write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain reliable code quality.
