About the role
About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: - Design, develop, and modify 3D mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor). - Generate manufacturing drawings, GD&T annotations, and detailed documentation as per engineering standards. - Develop and optimize CAM toolpaths for CNC milling, turning, and cutting operations. - Create and simulate G-code and machining strategies to ensure precision, tool life, and material efficiency. - Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of components. - Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) or simulation for stress, deformation, and thermal properties to validate designs. - Review and modify existing designs for continuous improvement, weight reduction, and assembly simplification. - Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain design databases for revision control and documentation. - Work closely with CNC operators to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production parameters. - Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, or BIS standards and contribute to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews. Who can apply: Only those candidates can apply who: are available for full time (in-office) internship can start the internship between 15th Jul'26 and 19th Aug'26 are available for duration of 6 months have relevant skills and interests are Mechanical Engineering students Stipend: INR₹ 10,000 - 12,000 /month Deadline: 2026-08-14 23:59:59 Other perks: Flexible work hours Skills required: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, Robotics, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Fusion 360, CNC Programming, GD&T, CAM, Feature Engineering, Troubleshooting and Electric Vehicle Technology Other Requirements: - 0-1 year of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, or product development. - Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or Fusion 360. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC programming, and machining operations. - Knowledge of G-code, post-processors, and NC file generation. - Experience with FEA, motion analysis, or tolerance stack-up studies. - Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and engineering documentation standards. - Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and design specifications. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechatronics. - Experience in robotic or automated manufacturing environments is an added advantage.
