Role Summary

Worked as a Business Tester in the Payments Processing domain, validating end to end payment transactions and ensuring payment systems met business, regulatory, and operational requirements. Collaborated with business stakeholders, business analysts, developers, and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories related to payment processing.

Designed and executed test scenarios and test cases for payment applications.

Performed Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and End to End Testing.

Validated payment processing workflows for:

Domestic payments

International payments

Real Time Payments

High value payments

Scheduled and recurring payments

Batch payment processing

Verified payment lifecycle from initiation through authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.

Tested payment exceptions, rejected transactions, reversals, cancellations, and refunds.

Validated payment statuses, transaction limits, fees, and customer notifications.

Performed reconciliation between payment systems and downstream applications.

Logged, tracked, and retested defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.

Supported production releases and performed post implementation verification.

Worked closely with business users during UAT and obtained business sign off.

Participated in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Prepared test execution reports, defect summaries, and test completion reports.
