• Job Summary

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL and data migration projects

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and validating endâ€toâ€end data migration from source to target platforms (Oracle DB), using PL/SQL, SQL, and ETL/logic automation. The role ensures high data integrity, performance, and clear documentation throughout the lifecycle

• Analyze source and target data models, and define mapping, transformation rules, and validation criteria for data migration.

• Design and develop PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers for extract, transform, and load (ETL) logic, including errorâ€`handling and retry logic.

• Perform fullâ€`cycle data migrations: extract from source systems, cleanse data, transform to target schema, and load into destination databases.

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and referential integrity postâ€`migration through structured validation jobs and reconciliation scripts.

• Optimize PL/SQL and SQL code for performance (indexes, partitions, bulk operations) during largeâ€`volume migrations.

• Collaborate with application teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and align migrations with downtime windows as applicable

• Document migration design, scripts, test scenarios, rollback plans, and runâ€`books for operations and audits.

• Required skills

• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL , including procedures, packages, functions, triggers, cursors, collections, and bulk operations.

• Proficient in Oracle SQL, query tuning, and understanding of schemas, constraints, indexes, and partitioning.

• Handsâ€`on experience in data migration projects

• Good knowledge of ETL concepts, data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation logic.

• Familiarity with migration tools/frameworks (any Oracleâ€`related migration utilities, SQL Developer) is a plus.

• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/ PowerShell) and exposure to CI/CD or devops practices is an advantage.
