• Job Title: Data Lineage Architect

• Location: Across USA any Location (only FTE)

• Job Summary

• A Data Lineage Architect specializing in Google Cloud (GCP) designs, implements, and maintains traceable data lifecycle systems. They map out how data flows through pipelines, ensuring data governance, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization. They primarily build these architectures utilizing native tools like Google Cloud Knowledge Catalog

• Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Design table-level and column-level data lineage pipelines across complex multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

• Platform Integration: Architect ingestion pipelines that automatically generate lineage events from tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.

• Compliance & Governance: Ensure data privacy, catalog sensitive assets, and provide clear audit trails for compliance regulations

• Impact Analysis & Debugging: Help development and analytics teams safely trace data dependencies to identify the downstream effects of source data modifications.

• Cost Optimization: Identify unused or standalone assets to reduce cloud storage footprint.

• Required Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Engineering.

• 3+ years of direct experience with enterprise data lineage initiatives.

• 5+ years of healthcare industry experience preferred.

• Experience implementing lineage capabilities across complex healthcare environments.

• Experience supporting enterprise governance and compliance programs.

• GCP Ecosystem: Deep knowledge of BigQuery, Knowledge Catalog/Dataplex, and Dataflow.

• Standards & Coding: Familiarity with the Open Lineage standard, data modeling tools, and proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Java.

• Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between business data stewards and engineering teams.

The pay range for this role is $140k - $150k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
