• Job Description ‿ Senior Power BI Developer (Jira & Confluence Integration)

• Position Title: Senior Power BI Developer

• Experience: 5+ Years

• Location: Offshore

• Employment Type: Full Time

• Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for Agile, portfolio, and executive level reporting.

• Integrate data from Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, SQL databases, and other enterprise systems .

• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and complex data models .

• Write and optimize JQL (Jira Query Language) queries to extract, analyze, and report on Agile metrics.

• Configure and troubleshoot Jira and Confluence authentication mechanisms , including API integrations, OAuth, PATs, and enterprise access controls.

• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes using Power Query (M), SQL, and Python.

• Partner with Agile coaches, PMOs, Product Managers, and leadership teams to define reporting requirements.

• Create executive dashboards for:

• Sprint metrics

• Velocity tracking

• Capacity planning

• PI Planning

• Predictability measures

• Portfolio and program health

• Risk and dependency management

• Implement performance tuning and optimization for large Power BI datasets and semantic models.

• Ensure data governance, security, and report accuracy across business units.

• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing content in Confluence.

• Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands on Power BI development experience.

• Expert level knowledge of:

• Power BI Desktop

• Power BI Service

• Power Query (M)

• Data Modeling

• DAX (advanced measures, time intelligence, optimization)

• Strong experience with:

• Jira Administration and Reporting

• Confluence

• JQL (Jira Query Language)

• Jira REST APIs

• Authentication and authorization integrations

• Strong SQL and relational database experience.

• Experience developing and supporting enterprise reporting solutions.

• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and portfolio management metrics.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Strong stakeholder communication and requirements gathering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Python for:

• Data extraction and manipulation

• API integrations

• Automation

• Advanced analytics

• Data quality validation

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Databricks, or Synapse.

• Microsoft Power BI Certifications.

• Atlassian certifications are a plus.

• Experience supporting executive dashboards and enterprise PMO reporting.
