Role Overview

We are seeking a Typst Developer / Document Automation Engineer  to build modern, scalable document generation solutions using Typst . You will design reusable templates, automate PDF generation, integrate document workflows with enterprise systems, and help replace legacy reporting and publishing platforms with high performance, code driven automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop reusable Typst templates  for reports, proposals, invoices, contracts, and technical documentation.

Build custom Typst macros, functions, and document components .

Automate document generation from JSON, CSV, XML, APIs, and databases .

Develop and maintain document generation pipelines  integrated with backend applications.

Implement advanced layouts, typography, tables, mathematical notation, and conditional rendering.

Integrate Typst CLI into CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and microservices .

Manage and extend Typst packages and libraries, including graphics and visualization components.

Ensure document quality, performance, version control, and governance standards.

Required Skills

Typst & Document Engineering

Strong hands on experience with Typst markup and scripting

Advanced understanding of Show/Set rules, context management, and layouts

Experience building reusable document templates and component libraries

PDF generation and document automation expertise

Software Engineering Skills

Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Rust

REST APIs and Microservices

Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns

SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD practices

Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps

Data Processing

JSON, CSV, XML, YAML
