About the role
Roles & Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and translate them into test cases and scenarios. Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, UI, and exploratory testing. Identify, document, and track defects in a test management tool. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and SME to understand requirements and resolve issues. Ensure compliance with QA standards, best practices, and testing methodologies. Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and risk assessment. Work closely with automation teams to identify areas for test automation. Provide detailed test reports and defect metrics to stakeholders. Years of Experience: The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional experience Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional): bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or related field. Must have: 8+ years of experience in manual testing of web, mobile, or enterprise applications. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle. Experience in testing methodologies such as functional, regression, system, and UI testing. Hands-on experience with test case management tools (eg, JIRA, TestRail, ALM). Proficiency in defect tracking tools and test reporting. Ability to analyze and interpret business requirements and technical specifications. Knowledge of SQL queries for database validation. Basic understanding of API testing using tools like Postman (preferred). Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Manage all projects according to agreed timelines and report on progress.
