Java Backend Developer

As a Java Developer in this role, your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing high-performance Java microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework for billing, revenue, and partner compensation modules. - Architecting and implementing event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, and Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines. - Writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex Oracle PL/SQL, such as stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages. - Participating in migrating batch processing workloads from Apache Spark to Java-based solutions for improved performance and maintainability. - Collaborating with product, QA, and solution architect teams to deliver reliable, regression-free releases on monthly release cycles. - Performing code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and promoting engineering best practices and coding standards. - Contributing to technical documentation, Confluence knowledge bases, and architecture decision records. - Troubleshooting and resolving production issues for enterprise customers, including root cause analysis, hotfix delivery, and preventive engineering. Qualifications required for this role: - 8+ years of Java development experience with a strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and RESTful API design and implementation. - Experience in Apache Kafka, including producer/consumer patterns, topic design, offset management, Kafka Streams or KSQL for stream processing, and Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines. - Familiarity with AWS DMS or Debezium is preferred. - Proficiency in multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimization. - Experience with Maven/Gradle build systems and unit/integration testing using JUnit 5 and Mockito.
