Software Engineer

Techie Associates LLC is seeking experienced Data Engineers / BI Developers to design, build, and optimize enterprise data solutions and analytics platforms using Azure, Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, and modern cloud technologies. The role involves developing scalable ETL pipelines, data models, and interactive dashboards, implementing CI/CD automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance business intelligence solutions. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes including requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and production support. \n\n Minimum 10+ years of experience working in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related analytical roles, involving the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data and reporting solutions. \n\n Strong expertise in developing data models and analytical dashboards using Power BI and Tableau, with hands-on experience in DAX expressions, Power Query, calculated fields, parameters, and LOD expressions to create interactive and high-performance visualizations.\n\n Demonstrated experience in building and optimizing data warehouse and ETL solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers), including performing Gap and Impact Analysis for large-scale data environments. \n\n Proficiency in SQL Server and Snowflake, with advanced skills in writing and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, views, and indexes, and resolving performance bottlenecks in SQL queries and BI reports. \n\n Hands-on experience developing ETL processes and automation scripts using Python, SSIS, and Azure Synapse Pipelines, integrating data from heterogeneous sources and leveraging PolyBase for optimized data ingestion and processing. \n\n Experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies including Spark (PySpark), Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), with a focus on data transformation, scalability, and secure data integration. \n\n Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD automation for data pipelines and BI assets using Azure DevOps and Git, ensuring reliable version control, traceability, and streamlined deployments across environments. \n\n Skilled in applying data modeling techniques, dimensional design, and query optimization to improve dashboard responsiveness, model efficiency, and overall user experience. \n\n Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and lineage documentation, ensuring data consistency, transparency, and compliance with enterprise security and privacy standards. \n\n Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data architects, and engineers to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions and support predictive modeling and advanced analytics initiatives through curated and high-quality datasets. \n\n Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot production issues, manage access controls, and ensure timely delivery of reliable business insights. \n\n Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to evolving data technologies and enterprise requirements, with a commitment to maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and performance in all deliverables.
