About the role
As a Technical Architect specializing in Ruby on Rails, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of the entire tech architecture for a fast-growing e-commerce house of brands. This includes managing over 100 high-traffic eCommerce websites, ERP software, business analytics, and modules across various functions. You will have the opportunity to contribute as both a Lead and an Individual Contributor, making architectural decisions without the need for a massive hierarchy beneath you. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and enhance the tech architecture of over 100 high-traffic eCommerce websites catering to customers worldwide. - Manage ERP software that streamlines global operations. - Utilize business analytics to drive product/catalog selection, customer growth, and retention strategies. - Implement modules across marketing, logistics, customer support, and finance functions. - Act as a Lead and Individual Contributor, driving architectural decisions and innovation. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of technical development experience, with a focus on Ruby on Rails architecture. - Proficiency in Javascript and Javascript-based frameworks, specifically React. - Experience working in an AI-assisted development environment, leveraging modern tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment. - Comfort working in a compact, high-performance team, demonstrating self-drive and the ability to manage complex architectures independently. - Ability to contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise eCommerce applications. - Strong analytical skills with a product-first mindset.
