Testing and Commissioning Engineer

We are looking for a dependable Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join our capable team. You will be responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Senior Engineer/Manager, assisting other engineers with projects, conducting research, and writing reports. You should be able to follow instructions, but also take initiative and come up with original ideas. To be successful as a Testing and Commissioning Engineer, you should have a growing mindset and a commitment to lifelong learning. Outstanding candidates should be highly observant, willing to assist wherever possible, and eager to readily engage with Engineers outside of their area of specialization. Responsibilities: Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Senior Engineer/Manager. Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible. Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate. Conducting research and traveling to sites. Strictly following health and safety regulations at all times. Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives. Analysing data and writing reports according to Specifications. Take notes and share your findings with your Senior Engineer/Manager and other relevant stakeholders. Establishing professional relationships with staffs. Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence. Testing and Commissioning of Power System Equipment such as Switchgear, CT/VT/DC (Battery and Battery Charger) Systems/ Power Transformers/Auxiliary Transformers/Generator/Motor/ Sizing/Earthing /Power System Protection Relays/ Control/Power& Control Cable/Protection and Control scheme verification/TRM/QRM Testing/Substation Control and Monitoring /SCADA/Distribution Management System/Control Panel/Relay Panel/AVR Panel/OLTC/ Interlocking Panel/Interlocking Scheme/Fault Monitoring Systems/Solar Power Plants. Verification of Single Line Diagrams, Scheme Drawings, Interlock Drawings, etc. Testing of Lightning Arresters. Equipment Layout preparation in Coordination with Civil/Mechanical/Fire Fighting Team. Fault troubleshooting and RCA report preparation. Coordination with clients. Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering discipline is a minimum requirement. Independently executing Testing and Commissioning. Leading Testing Team. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strictly following health and safety regulations at all times. Preparing Testing and Commissioning Reports. Preparing Method of Statements for Testing, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning. Excellent time management and professionalism. Design calculation software knowledge such as ASPEN, SINCAL, CTDIm, ETAP, CYME, SKM, Transient Fault Analyses. Auto CAD. Protection IED s Software Knowledge. MS Office. DC/AC Systems knowledge. Knowledge of all equipment such as Switchgear, CT/VT/DC (Battery and Battery Charger) Systems/ Power Transformers/Auxiliary Transformers / Generator / Motor / Sizing / Earthing / Power System Protection Relays/Control/Power& Control Cable/Protection and Control scheme verification /TRM/QRM Testing/Substation Control and Monitoring System/SCADA/Distribution Management System/Control Panel/Relay Panel/AVR Panel/OLTC/Interlocking Panel/Interlocking Scheme/Fault Monitoring Systems/Solar Power Plants. Knowledge of programming languages is an additional advantage. Load flow/Short circuit calculation/Protection study. Knowledge of International Standards such as IEC, IEEE, BS, etc. Knowledge in Cyber Security, IEC 61850. Membership with IET/IEEE is an additional advantage. A growing mindset and willingness to accept criticism. A valid driver s license is an additional advantage.
