About the role
As a Software Testing / QC Engineer, your role is crucial in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and technical specifications to ensure complete coverage of functionalities. - Perform manual testing of software applications to validate functionality, usability, performance, and system integration against defined requirements. - Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools. Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and proper verification of fixes. - Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features, enhancements, or bug fixes do not negatively impact existing system functionalities. - Prepare and maintain test documentation including test cases, test scripts, test reports, and defect logs for future reference and audit purposes. - Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX teams to understand system requirements, clarify test scenarios, and ensure quality standards are met. - Participate in improving testing processes, methodologies, and standards to enhance overall software quality and testing efficiency. - Assist in creating or maintaining automated test scripts to improve testing coverage and reduce manual testing effort. - Perform final validation and quality checks before product releases to ensure the software is stable and ready for deployment. Qualifications Required: - 2 - 3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Control. - Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Strong understanding of software testing concepts and QC methodologies. - Knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes. - Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Good communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to document and report issues clearly. - Time management and ability to handle multiple testing tasks simultaneously. - Proactive and quality-driven mindset. - Experience with manual testing and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.). - Basic understanding of automation tools is an advantage. - Knowledge of web, mobile, or software application testing. - Familiarity with testing methodologies and test case management tools.
