Process Designer

As a Process Designer at Tecnicas Reunidas, your role involves providing leadership and guidance to a team of process designers. This includes assigning tasks, setting goals, and conducting performance evaluations. You will foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development among team members. Additionally, you will coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure effective teamwork and project delivery. Your responsibilities also include developing and reviewing process design deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and process equipment specifications. You will perform quality assurance reviews of process design deliverables, identify and mitigate design risks and issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of process designs with overall project requirements. Furthermore, you will liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to address design-related inquiries and provide technical support. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. - Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in process design within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on upstream, midstream, or downstream operations. - Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim), process design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CADWorx), and related engineering software. - Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations, such as API, ASME, and ISO, as they apply to process design in the oil and gas sector. - Proficiency in using process design software for developing PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
