System & Packages Engineer

Determine and select packages from the point of view of compliance with technological, technical, contractual and economic requirements; Provide for the preparation of the project Specification, the material requisition (M R ) and the technical tabulation; Follow the supply development, keeping the necessary technical contacts with the Vendors and accepting the final reports; Participate (where considered necessary by the Systems & Packages Head of Department) in the most important phases of construction, testing, assembly and starting up; Give assistance to the Team Leaders, where requested by them, for those machines, which they manage directly; Define and update the normative in accordance with the economic optimization criteria; Keep up to date with what the market has to offer During a project execution, the main activities under the responsibility of a Packages engineer are the following: Activities during the bidding phase: codes and standards understanding; M R issue for offer request with the scope of cost estimation, offer tabulation and technical evaluation; Basic engineering activity: mechanical data sheets preparation; preparation of the Material requisition; Detailed engineering and purchase assistance activities: initial general activities; preparation of general specifications and forms; preparation of data sheets of request for quotation (R F Q ); preparation of "material requisition (M R )" for bid inquiry; technical tabulation of offers and issue of technical bid evaluation; issue of M R for purchase order; verification of vendors drawings and documents; preparation of mechanical manuals; assistance during plant erection; participation at "kick-off" meetings, "design conferences" etc, with the client; document filing; Checks and approvals
