As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for managing SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. - Applying data modeling techniques to ensure that development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. - Independently analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution. - Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues, and documenting changes. - Assisting developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. - Providing 24x7 support for critical production systems. - Performing scheduled maintenance and supporting release deployment activities after hours. - Sharing domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. Qualifications required for this role include: - 4+ years of experience as an MS SQL Developer along with Administration experience. - Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. - Knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models. - Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server. - Strong knowledge of database structure. - Ability to mine and analyze data. - Understanding and working knowledge of MONGO DB is preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Flexibility, team player attitude, and a 'get-it-done' personality. - Ability to organize and plan work independently. - Capability to work in a rapidly changing environment and multitask effectively between different activities and teams.
