About the role
As an Embedded Software/System Engineer specializing in STM32/LINUX with RTOS, your responsibilities will include: - Designing, specifying, and implementing software tests for new features in development projects. - Leading the planning, execution, and analysis of automated component- and product-level tests. - Guiding the execution of defined test procedures, ensuring documentation and traceability. - Maintaining and enhancing existing tests and test utilities. - Continuously refining test procedures, introducing best practices, and driving process improvements. - Mentoring and guiding team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and quality. - Demonstrating solid experience in working with RTOS (task scheduling, semaphores, mutexes, ISRs, etc.). - Utilizing hands-on experience with low-level microcontroller programming. - Showcasing familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Modbus, etc. - Utilizing experience in using version control (Git), and debugging tools (JTAG, GDB, etc.). - Demonstrating familiarity with reading schematics and working with hardware teams. - Leveraging knowledge of digital electronics (Latches, Gates, Adders, Flipflops) as an added advantage. - Designing and developing embedded software in C for networking products. - Working on Linux kernel and user-space components for embedded platforms. - Implementing and troubleshooting L2/L3 protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, STP, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS). - Optimizing performance and memory usage for embedded systems. - Collaborating with hardware engineers for software-hardware integration. - Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and validation of embedded software. - Participating in code reviews and maintaining high coding standards. - Debugging and resolving system-level issues using tools like GDB, Wireshark, and JTAG. Qualifications required for this role: - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software testing/test automation. - Strong proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow for test script and model development. - Familiarity with C/C++ programming, M-scripting, makefiles. - Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD workflows. - Strong knowledge of software testing methods and practices. - Excellent English communication skills.
