About the role
As an Automation Platform Engineer / Migration Lead, your role involves managing and supporting an enterprise automation platform while leading the migration of existing automation workflows to a current strategic solution. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and transition of automation processes. Your key responsibilities include: - Platform upgrades, patching, health checks, backups, certificates, and user access management - Inventory, assess, redesign, and migrate automation workflows - Develop and support automation solutions using Python and Ansible - Manage integrations, monitoring, logging, and production support - Execute testing, cutover, and decommissioning activities during migration Key skills required for this role include: - Itential administration/support (or similar automation platform) - Linux (RHEL) administration and troubleshooting - Python scripting and REST API integrations - Ansible (Playbooks, Roles, Inventories, AWX/Automation Controller) - Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab) Preferred skills that would be beneficial for this position are: - AWS (IAM, VPC, EC2, CloudWatch) - Terraform basics - Network automation, NetBox/IPAM, device APIs If you possess the necessary skills and experience in automation platforms and migration tasks, this long-term remote position based in India could be an exciting opportunity for you.
