Role Overview As an L1 IT Support Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for the organization. Your responsibilities will include resolving day-to-day user hardware and software issues, performing basic network troubleshooting, and managing application installations. A key aspect of your role will be tracking technical issues and efficiently escalating complex hardware or service problems to external vendors. Key Responsibilities - User & Desktop Support: You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining employee laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices. - Application Installation & Support: Your duties will involve deploying and troubleshooting core business applications, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and productivity suites such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. - Network Troubleshooting (Key Skill): You are expected to diagnose basic LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues. Additionally, you should understand IP addressing and local network configurations to ensure seamless user connectivity. - Vendor Escalation & Management: Act as the liaison between internal users and external vendors for hardware repairs, internet service outages, and software licensing issues. - Ticketing & Access Management: Monitor the IT helpdesk queue, manage user account credentials (password resets, access rights), and resolve tickets within defined SLAs. Qualification Required - Experience: You should have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or desktop support role. - Core Technical Skills: Demonstrate a solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs. Proficiency in OS administration (Windows 10/11 and/or macOS) is essential. Familiarity with active directory or cloud identity management tools like Entra ID or Okta is a plus. - Soft Skills: Possess strong vendor management and escalation tracking skills. Showcase excellent problem-solving capabilities and a customer-first mindset. Clear communication skills are crucial to effectively explain technical solutions to non-technical users. - Education: A Bachelors degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience/certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA) is required. Additional Company Details The company offers a monthly pay range of 10,000.00 - 25,000.00 for this position. The work location is in person.
