About the role
Job Role: Additive Manufacturing Engineer (3D Printing & Digital Fabrication) Location: Coimbatore, TN Experience: 2-5 Years We are looking for a hands-on 3D Printing Engineer with practical experience in Additive Manufacturing, Digital Fabrication, and Rapid Prototyping . Key Responsibilities Operate and manage FDM, SLA, DLP, MSLA, and Resin-based 3D printers. Prepare and optimize STL, OBJ, and 3MF files using slicing software. Configure print orientation, supports, infill, layer settings, and print parameters. Monitor print jobs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize print quality. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, cleaning, and preventive servicing of 3D printers. Handle post-processing activities including support removal, washing, UV curing, sanding, trimming, finishing, and assembly. Support laser cutting, acrylic fabrication, drilling, bonding, polishing, and workshop activities. Inspect printed parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, defects, and overall quality. Maintain production logs, maintenance records, material inventory, and documentation. Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and design teams to ensure timely project delivery. Required Skills 2+ years of experience in Additive Manufacturing or 3D Printing. Hands-on experience with FDM, SLA, DLP, MSLA, and Resin Printing Technologies . Strong knowledge of STL File Preparation, Slicing, Print Orientation, Supports, and Print Optimization . Experience using slicer software such as Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Chitubox, Lychee, or PreForm . Understanding of different printing materials including PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, Engineering Resins, and Nylon . Experience in machine troubleshooting, calibration, preventive maintenance, and print quality improvement. Familiarity with workshop tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication techniques. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Industrial 3D Printers, Laser Cutting, and Digital Fabrication. Knowledge of Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender, Meshmixer, or Rhino. Experience in Medical Devices, Manufacturing, or Product Development.
