Job Role: Design Release Engineer (Chassis Systems) Experience: 6-10 Years Location: Pune / Chennai We are looking for an experienced Design Release Engineer Chassis Systems to lead the design, development, validation, and release of automotive chassis components. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Chassis System Design, Product Development, CAD, PLM, Supplier Management, and Vehicle Integration . Key Responsibilities Lead the design and release of Suspension, Steering, Brake Systems, Wheels & Tires, Pedal Systems, and Chassis Components . Develop components using CATIA/NX , manage BOMs , and maintain product data in Teamcenter/PLM . Perform packaging studies, tolerance analysis, and engineering design reviews. Drive end-to-end product development, including requirement definition, supplier coordination, validation, and engineering change management. Develop and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, PPAP , and support product validation activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, Experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers. Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and Vehicle Integration. Support prototype, DV, PV, pilot builds, and production launch activities. Investigate design and manufacturing issues using structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Drive cost optimization, benchmarking, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills 6+ years of experience in Automotive Chassis Product Development. Strong expertise in Suspension (Structural/ Tunable Components) , Steering, Brakes, Wheels & Tires, or Chassis Systems . Hands-on experience with CATIA/NX , Teamcenter/PLM , and BOM Management . Good understanding of Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension Kinematics, NVH, Durability, Fatigue, Wheel Alignment, and Chassis Integration . Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, PPAP , Engineering Change Management (ECM) , and Product Validation. Strong supplier management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of vehicle launch activities and manufacturing processes. Exposure to cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.
