The below client is the global software quality assurance and testing services company, specializing in software testing, quality management, and DevOps solutions, including functional, performance, and security testing for various software applications Job Title: Automation Test Lead Location: Bangalore / Trivandrum / Chennai / Mumbai / Pune Job Type: Full time Work Type: Onsite - Oman (Candidate should be willing to travel and work onsite for both short-term and long-term assignments) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Lead with 8 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and leading end-to-end test automation initiatives across Web, Mobile, and API applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in building scalable automation frameworks, mentoring automation engineers, and driving automation strategy while ensuring high-quality software delivery. The candidate should be comfortable working in a client-facing environment and be willing to travel to Oman for both short-term and long-term engagements. Key Responsibilities Lead the automation testing effort for enterprise applications across Web, Mobile, and APIs. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks. Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Develop automation solutions using industry-standard tools and best practices. Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to understand business requirements. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Review automation code and enforce coding standards and best practices. Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution. Estimate automation efforts and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior automation engineers and drive automation excellence within the team. Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives. Required Technical Skills: Web Automation Selenium WebDriver/Playwright Mobile Automation Appium API Automation REST API Testing API Automation using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured/Postman or equivalent Programming Languages (any one) Java JavaScript TypeScript Python Framework Development Strong experience in designing and developing custom automation frameworks from scratch. Expertise in Hybrid, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and Page Object Model (POM) frameworks. Test Management DevOps TestNG / JUnit / PyTest Maven / Gradle / npm Git Jenkins or Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipeline Integration Required Experience 8 10 years of overall experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Automation Testing. Proven experience leading automation teams and delivering enterprise-scale automation projects. Strong hands-on experience in Web, Mobile, and API automation. Experience in automation framework architecture and implementation. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. Experience with performance or security testing is an added advantage. Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution. Experience with reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports. Educational Qualification Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Soft Skills Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
