Location: Mumbai/ Pune/ Noida/ Bangalore/ Kochi Work Mode: Hybrid Job Summary: Job Description AWS Cloud Operations Support Engineer Position Title - AWS Cloud Operations Support Engineer Experience Required 23 Years Employment Type Full-Time Shift Requirement This position is part of a 24x7 AWS Operations Support Team and requires: Mandatory weekend support Rotational shifts: Early Morning Shift Day Shift Evening Shift Night Shift On-call support during critical incidents and maintenance activities Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented AWS Cloud Operations Support Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on AWS experience to support and maintain cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring production environments, troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents, and ensuring high availability of AWS workloads. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a shift-based operational environment and possess strong troubleshooting skills across AWS services, Linux systems, networking, and cloud monitoring tools. Key Responsibilities AWS Cloud Operations Monitor AWS infrastructure and applications to ensure system availability and performance. Handle alerts, incidents, and service requests within SLA targets. Perform daily operational checks and health monitoring of production environments. Support cloud infrastructure running on AWS. Incident & Problem Management Investigate and resolve infrastructure, application, and connectivity issues. Participate in Major Incident Management and bridge calls. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions. Escalate complex issues to engineering teams when required. AWS Infrastructure Support Manage and support AWS services including: EC2 S3 RDS VPC IAM Route 53 CloudWatch Auto Scaling Load Balancers (ALB/NLB) EBS Lambda (basic support) Perform backup validation and disaster recovery activities. Support patching, upgrades, and maintenance windows. Monitoring & Automation Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch and other enterprise monitoring tools. Create and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts. Execute operational runbooks and SOPs. Support automation through Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting. Documentation & Compliance Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base articles. Update incident records, change requests, and problem tickets. Follow security and compliance best practices. Required Technical Skills AWS Services Hands-on experience with: Amazon EC2 Amazon S3 Amazon RDS AWS IAM Amazon VPC Route 53 CloudWatch Elastic Load Balancer (ELB/ALB/NLB) Auto Scaling Groups Security Groups and NACLs AWS Backup Operating Systems Linux Administration (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, Red Hat) Basic Windows Server Administration Networking TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP VPN Connectivity Routing and Subnetting Load Balancing Firewall Concepts Network Troubleshooting Monitoring & ITSM Tools Amazon CloudWatch Datadog Splunk Grafana ServiceNow Jira Scripting Bash Shell Scripting PowerShell Basic Python Automation DevOps Exposure (Preferred) Git Jenkins Terraform (basic understanding) AWS CloudFormation CI/CD concepts Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. 2–3 years of AWS Cloud Operations or Cloud Support experience. Experience supporting production environments in a 24x7 operational setup. Preferred Certifications One or more of the following certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate AWS Certified Developer – Associate Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer-focused mindset Ability to work independently during night and weekend shifts Good incident management and stakeholder communication skills Strong documentation and reporting skills Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Incident response and resolution within SLA Infrastructure uptime and service availability Reduction in recurring incidents Monitoring and alert effectiveness Automation and process improvement contributions Customer satisfaction and operational excellence Mandatory Requirement Candidate must be willing to work in a 24x7 rotational support environment, including weekends, early morning, day, evening, night shifts, and public holidays as per business needs.
