As a Senior Staff AI Engineer at Teradata, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of intelligent, scalable, and cloud-native AI systems. Your role will involve architecting and implementing high-performance features using Python and modern software engineering practices. You will design and develop LLM-powered agents and runtime orchestration systems for distributed environments. Additionally, you will build intelligent automation and conversational capabilities using state-of-the-art GenAI Agentic AI products. Your responsibilities will also include developing and maintaining MCP server integrations, leveraging containerization technologies for scalable deployments, and utilizing AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity. Furthermore, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver new features with a focus on performance and maintainability. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous learning will be part of your role. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 10+ years of software engineering experience specializing in Python, with knowledge of additional languages such as Java, Go, or C++ - Expertise in agent development, LLM integration, prompt engineering, and runtime systems - Hands-on experience with MCP servers, vector databases, RAG architecture, and NLP frameworks - Proficiency in containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex, distributed environments - Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Skills: - Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation - Ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept to delivery - Adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced environments - Experience with Teradata or other enterprise-grade databases is a plus Teradata is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where collaboration and inclusivity are valued across the global organization.
