At Terminal, we're building a cloud-native IDE where engineers work alongside always-on AI software engineers - combining the interactive feel of Cursor with the parallelism of Devin. We are building AI software engineers that are proactive and learn from experience.

We are a fully in-person team based in Palo Alto and SF.

The Role

You'll build the core infrastructure and ML models that power Terminal.

This includes..

• ..architecting our cloud-native development environment
• ..building seamless integrations with developer tools like GitHub, and Linear
• ..finetuning models and developing always-on AI agents
• ..designing systems that continuously learn from users behaviour and experience

You..

• ..are an excellent problem solver who likes working autonomously
• ..like tackling challenging problems across the stack (infra, model training, AI agents)
• ..write high quality code and ship fast
• ..excel in either AI research or full-stack engineering or both

Company

Our team is a mix of people who have experience in startups and big tech, PhD dropouts, and first-time startup builders. We are ambitious people who love ideating collaboratively, working independently, and learning from each other.

We have raised $8M from First Round Capital, General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, Terrain, Kearny Jackson, and Parag Agrawal, and are working with many exceptional design partners.
