About the role
As a Senior Java Server Side Developer at Tethys Technology, Inc., you will be working on various Java backend components within the Tethys algorithmic trading platform. Your main responsibilities will include implementing business features and technical improvements to meet strict performance requirements. You should be passionate about enhancing and solving complex business requirements, and should be adept at organizing and following tight development processes in accordance with agile/scrum and test-driven development principles. Additionally, you will be expected to utilize the development toolset from Atlassian, including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc. You will have ownership and influence on driving technical solutions to meet job requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Work on Java backend components in Tethys algorithmic trading platform - Implement business features and technical improvements to meet performance requirements - Organize and follow tight development processes using agile/scrum and test-driven development principles - Utilize development toolset from Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.) - Take ownership and influence on business driving technical solutions Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience with Core Java and hands-on Java low latency development - Proficiency in object-oriented design, multi-threading application design, and inter-process communication-related development - Experience in memory management, JVM/GC performance tuning, and knowledge of trading systems - Excellent communication skills - Good knowledge of RDBMS and SQL skills, working knowledge of C++ is a plus - Strong command of spoken and written English - Bachelors or Masters degree in a scientific major As a member of the team at Tethys Technology, Inc., you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a diverse and talented group.
