About the role
Role Overview: As a lead level IC Design Engineer in the RF Transceiver Group at Texas Instruments, you will be part of the UWB Design group. Your role will primarily involve Analog/RF circuit design to meet the overall System & Product requirements. You will work on cutting edge RF Transceiver products (+MCU integrated) for Wireless-LAN (WIFI) and Ultra-Wideband Systems (UWB). You will experience the Block Architecture Phase, Concept Design, and take the design through various design phases such as Schematic, Layout, Extracted simulations, Test, and Verification. Key Responsibilities: - Design RF blocks such as LNA, TA, Down-conversion Mixers, Base-band filters, and High-Speed ADC for data transmission to the Modem. - Develop the Reverse Chain for Transmitter, including DAC, Base-band filter, Up-conversion mixer, and Power Amplifier stages for driving the TX Pin. - Design LO system components like Chrystal Oscillator, integer/fractional PLL, and LO Distribution systems. - Implement various Calibration modules (AGC, PDET, Gain, Offset, IQMM, etc) to calibrate the Transceiver chain. - Work on Low Current Mode and Complex Power Management for operation at low LDO input voltage. - Gain exposure to Radio Silicon Design, Packaging, PCB, and solution design for a holistic view of the product. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5+ years of experience in RFIC Design with expertise in PLL & Clock System Design, IF filter, and VGA Design. - Strong understanding of UWB technology and its applications in wireless communication and sensing/radar systems. - Proficiency in designing Analog/RF circuits for meeting system and product requirements. - Experience in designing RF blocks, LO systems, and Calibration modules for Transceiver chains. - Familiarity with Low Power Mode and Power Management techniques in RF circuit design.
