About the role
Internship Supplier capacity assessment and cycle time validation study Background To support future business growth and ensure smooth material supply, we need to understand the actual production capacity of our key suppliers. At present, supplier capacity is mainly based on the information shared by suppliers. Conducting a cycle time study will help us verify the actual production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and find opportunities for improvement. Project Objective To assess and validate the actual production capacity of selected suppliers through detailed cycle time studies and capacity analysis. Scope Conduct cycle time studies at selected supplier locations. Observe and record actual manufacturing process times. Assess machine-wise and process-wise production capacity. Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints. Evaluate supplier readiness for future volume increases. Develop a supplier capacity database. Expected BenefitsBusiness Benefits Improved visibility of supplier production capacity. Better decision-making for sourcing and business allocation. Reduced risk of supply shortages and delivery delays. Improved supply chain planning and forecasting accuracy. Support for future business growth and capacity expansion planning. Operational Benefits Identification of process bottlenecks. Identification of capacity improvement opportunities. Better utilization of supplier manufacturing resources. Fact-based supplier performance evaluation. Key Deliverables Supplier-wise cycle time study report. Process flow and production data collection sheets. Machine-wise capacity assessment. Bottleneck identification report. Supplier capacity utilization analysis. Future capacity readiness assessment. Consolidated supplier capacity database. Final management presentation with findings and recommendations. Project Duration Data Collection: 6 Weeks Capacity Analysis: 1 Weeks Report Preparation: 1 Weeks Total Duration: 8 Weeks .
