Practice Head - AI & Data

As a Practice Head of Data Science & AI at Tezo, your role involves leading the data practice in Hyderabad. You will be responsible for defining and driving the strategic vision for the Data Science and AI practice, building and mentoring a high-performing team, and integrating data-driven solutions into broader business strategies. Additionally, you will lead the design and delivery of advanced AI/ML solutions, stay updated with industry trends, and establish frameworks to scale the data science practice. Key Responsibilities: - Define and drive the strategic vision for the Data Science and AI practice. - Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI experts. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions into broader business strategies. - Lead the design and delivery of advanced AI/ML solutions across various domains. - Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, ML, and data science. - Establish frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to scale the data science practice. - Support business development by working closely with sales teams in identifying opportunities and creating proposals. - Engage in solution selling by understanding client needs and proposing tailored AI/ML-based solutions. Qualifications Required: - 12 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in leading data science/AI teams. - Proven experience in setting up or leading a data science or AI practice. - Strong hands-on technical background in AI, ML, NLP, predictive analytics, and data engineering. - Experience with tools and platforms like Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, etc. - Strong understanding of data strategy, governance, and architecture. - Demonstrated success in solutioning and pre-sales engagements. - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
