As an Android Automotive Middleware/Platform architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing solutions for the next generation SDV, eCockpit, and Infotainment systems on Android Automotive. Your role will involve working on the latest versions of Android Automotive to develop Middleware solutions for Audio, Media, Tuner, Connectivity, HAL, Graphics, Projection technologies, and Inter-domain Communication within the context of an SDV. Key Responsibilities: - Understand system requirements, derive software requirements, and develop platform/middleware components. - Utilize analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills to design and develop software architecture for Android Middleware/Platform in the automotive domain. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements and create technical solutions. - Develop and maintain software design documents, specifications, and test plans. - Identify technical risks and devise mitigation strategies. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. - Work with external suppliers and partners to integrate software components into the overall system. - Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in automotive software development. - Lead a team of Middleware Developers for domains including Audio, Media, Tuner, Connectivity, Graphics, Projection, inter-domain communication, Camera, and Display sharing. - Define KPIs for the components and ensure they are achieved. - Guide the development team in overcoming roadblocks and provide support as needed, as well as triage defects. - Manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, and collaborate with key stakeholders. - Participate in competency development activities and assessments by mentoring, conducting interviews, and facilitating training. - Define the AIDL interfaces for the framework components. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent. - Capability to understand system requirements, derive software requirements, and develop platform/middleware components. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
