Design Engineer_ Power Electronics Experience 4-10yrs Education-MTech/PHD Mandatory Location- R&D Centre of an MNC at Bangalore Key Responsibilities Design and develop power electronic systems, including AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives. Perform simulation, analysis, and optimization using MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice, or similar tools. Select and qualify components, materials, and suppliers based on performance, cost, and availability. Develop, test, troubleshoot, and validate hardware prototypes and digital control systems. Design magnetic components (inductors, transformers) and optimize power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN, SiC). Ensure compliance with EMC/EMI, thermal management, safety, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions. Required Skills Strong expertise in power electronics design and development. Hands-on experience in hardware prototyping, testing, and debugging. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice, or equivalent tools. Good understanding of power semiconductors, magnetics design, thermal management, and EMC/EMI. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Master's degree from a reputed institute with specialization in Power Electronics is preferred.
