Pay and Benefits: Competitive compensation, including base pay and annual incentive Comprehensive health and life insurance and well-being benefits, based on location Pension / Retirement benefits Paid Time Off and Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and well-being DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a day unique to each team or employee) The impact you will have in this role: In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of WebSphere and Liberty, as well as playing a backup role for the other technologies supported by the Mainframe Strategic Engineering team. You will collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure a stable and high-performing WebSphere environment. You will also be asked to evaluate and perform Proof-of-Concepts for strategic product candidates. What You'll Do: Perform Lifecycle Management for Mainframe Strategic Engineering products Work with the customers/end-users to solve issues and assist with process automation Manage the vendor relationships for the products that we apply Monitor the status of tickets we have open with the vendor and handle critical issues as required Responsible for Incident, Problem, and Change Management for all Mainframe Strategic Engineering products Ensure incidents and problems are closed according to domain standards, and all change management requirements are strictly followed Represent the team at the various change management meetings on a regular basis Evaluate new products in the strategic engineering space Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior Leadership Competencies for this level include: Accountability: Demonstrates reliability by taking necessary actions to continuously meet required deadlines and goals Global Collaboration: Applies a global perspective when working within a team by being aware of one's own style and ensures all relevant parties are involved in key team tasks and decisions Communication: Articulates information clearly and presents information effectively and confidently when working with others Influencing: Convinces others by making a strong case, bringing others along to their viewpoint; maintains strong, trusting relationships, while at the same time is comfortable challenging ideas Innovation and Creativity: Thinks boldly and out of the box, generates new ideas and processes, and confidently pursues challenges as new avenues of opportunity Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Talents Needed for Success: Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience Systems programming skills in SMPE, RACF, and knowledge of MVS system internals Experience with WASz and Liberty REXX programming experience preferred HTML, Java, JavaScript, REXX programming a plus Knowledge of z/OS UNIX System Services and MVS environments Experience with Mainframe system automation Good written and verbal skills The ability to multitask and work in a team environment is a must Understanding of VTAM and TCP/IP Excellent customer service skills to be able to develop mutually beneficial relationships with a diverse set of customers Experience in a 24x7 global environment with knowledge of system high availability (HA) design and industry standard disaster recovery practices Additional Qualification: Knowledge of Ansible, Splunk, Snowflake, ZOWE is a plus Knowledgeable on Distributed and AWS cloud technologies Should be able to understand interlaying technologies (i.e - networking, business applications) and their impact to the business Equal Opportunity Statement: Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
