Junior Architect

Role Overview: You will be joining The Design Shop, a design + build practice that values curiosity, craftsmanship, continuous learning, and thoughtful collaboration. As a Junior Architect or Junior Interior Designer, you will play a key role in interpreting design briefs, developing cohesive design solutions, preparing documentation, and contributing to project development. Key Responsibilities: - Interpret design briefs, mood boards, references, and project narratives to develop cohesive design solutions. - Translate concepts into drawings, visualizations, and presentation materials with clarity and design intent. - Develop architectural and interior design documentation using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. - Prepare design presentations, material boards, and client-facing visual documentation. - Produce detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, and execution packages required for site implementation. - Coordinate internally with designers, architects, and project teams to maintain quality and consistency throughout project development. - Participate in design discussions, material research, and detailing exercises. Qualifications for Junior Architect: - Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) - 23 years of professional experience in architecture and/or interior design projects. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and presentation software. - Strong technical drawing and detailing skills. - Excellent communication and organizational abilities. - A portfolio demonstrating strong design thinking, presentation skills, and executed work. Qualifications for Junior Interior Designer: - Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture/ Interior design/ Spatial design. - 12 years of professional experience in residential interior design projects. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and presentation software. - Strong technical drawing and detailing skills. - Excellent communication and organizational abilities. - A portfolio demonstrating strong design thinking, presentation skills, and executed work.
