About the role
Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing: Perform detailed incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, avionics racks, and circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). Compliance & Standards: Ensure all products meet strict aerospace standards, including AS9100 , IPC-A-610 , IPC/WHMA-A-620 . Root Cause Analysis: Investigate electrical failures, non-conformances, and test deviations. Lead the corrective and preventive action ( CAPA ) processes to ensure issues don't repeat. Auditing: Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, test setups, and supplier facilities to maintain high-quality benchmarks. Documentation: Review and approve manufacturing routers, test logs, engineering drawings, and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102. Prepare and maintain inspection plans, checklists, NCR, MRB, and CAPA records. Compliance: Ensure compliance with AS9100 and DGCA airworthiness requirements. Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality bottlenecks and improve production yields. Requirements Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience with an Associate degree). Experience: 2–5+ years of experience in quality assurance/control specifically within the aerospace, defense, or aviation electronics industry. Technical Certifications: Current or prior certifications in IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (highly preferred). Blueprints & Schematics: Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Tools: Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multi meters, Megger, oscilloscopes, automated harness testers) and precision inspection tools (calipers, microscopes). Knowledge: Avionics, Electrical systems, Batteries, and power electronics(Motors). Soft Skills: A relentless attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical quality issues clearly to non-quality teams. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with environmental testing standards like DO-160 . Compliance with Automated Testing and Verification DO-178. Developing airborne electronic hardware DO-254. Experience utilizing 5-Why, Fish bone diagrams, and 8D methodologies for problem-solving.
