About the role
As a Production Specialist at Goodyear, you will drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements across processes and equipment within the assigned business center. You will ensure process capability and capacity to consistently deliver plant goals. Additionally, you will be actively engaged in assuring the integrity of Safety and Quality systems while championing Workplace Organization (WPO) standards. Your role will involve driving an efficient cost structure by implementing cost-saving initiatives and projects using Focused Improvement (FI) methodology. Furthermore, you will coach team members to actively participate in problem-solving and process troubleshooting. Primary Duties / Responsibilities: - Safely maintain the smooth and timely flow of plant production, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to the next operation or customer. - Lead and promote safety across all aspects of plant operations. - Train and develop team members, providing day-to-day shop floor support while meeting production targets with safety and quality standards. - Ensure strict adherence to all procedures, audits, practices, and standard work within the operation. - Develop employees and foster a strong, collaborative team culture. - Develop, maintain, and drive continuous improvement within the team. Education & Certifications: - Hold a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering (required). Experience: - Bring 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the tire industry, including exposure to tire building, curing, and final finishing operations.
