About the role
As a Mechanical Draughtsman cum Estimation Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in preparing detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, and accurate cost estimations for fabrication, manufacturing, and project execution. - Prepare 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software - Develop fabrication, assembly, and layout drawings according to project and client specifications - Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and design data to create accurate and clear designs - Perform material take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation for mechanical projects - Collaborate closely with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure technical and commercial accuracy - Assist in quotation preparation and project costing for tenders or client inquiries - Maintain and update drawing records, documentation, and revision history - Support design engineers during design reviews, fabrication, and site implementation - Ensure all designs adhere to company standards, safety norms, and quality requirements Qualifications: - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or draughtsman related field - 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design drafting and estimation - Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, 3D, and SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software - Strong knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, and manufacturing processes - Experience in cost estimation, BOQ, and material costing - Good understanding of engineering standards, tolerances, and materials - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects Preferred Skills: - Experience in metal, wooden, or fabrication design - Knowledge of ERP systems, costing methods, or estimation tools - Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills Please note that the company provides food, a provident fund, and the work location is in person.
