Platform Lead

W are looking for experienced Technology Leads, who will drive front-end initiatives across a range of products We are looking for highly skilled problem solvers, with a strong background in cross-platform and full-stack development stacks Your goal is to build robust and scalable products that perform beyond expectations for both internal and external customers You are expected to work with the Product, Design teams and other Stakeholders to design and build internal tools, platform technologies, and deep integrations with 3rd party services Additionally, you will be leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams while leveraging industry, customer, and competitive research, along with data analytics to deliver customer value and to achieve strategic goals and objectives We ideally like to work with a highly skilled engineer with a proven ability to develop and support products from conception to completion, requiring good organisational skills and attention to detail The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications for the company Responsibilities Work in an energetic and chaotic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and building tech DNA from the ground up Provide technical leadership for product design and features implementation Work with team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and produce best technical solution Build POCs to demonstrate the technical solution feasibility Bootstrap the tech team to define and execute on the product roadmap Build reusable code and libraries for future use Focus on security aspects, observability, scalability, efficiency and telemetric Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards and practices are followed Evangelise and implement best practices and industry standards Act as a mentor/coach to other engineers and leads to share your knowledge and expertise Establish scalable and reliable engineering practices in the team, ensuring development and operations team collaborate to ensure high platform reliability Work with other members in the team to drive strategic planning for the platform, and define key objectives and milestones for the platform Requirements 7+ years of full stack experience in software design and development Experience of building microservices and/or serverless architecture Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to be able to solve complex problems and critical production issues Experience working in an Agile team with hands on TDD/BDD Experience of building CI/CD pipelines Experience of working on AWS Cloud and DevOps would be beneficial Experience with large scale system design, managing teams, and end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects Ability to work with cross-functional and remote teams working in multiple time zones Ability to define and prioritize strategic/tactical goals, and drive teams towards delivering on them Ability to recruit teams and grow functions to deliver high-quality software products
