About the role
As a Data Officer at the World Bank in Chennai, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the World Bank Group by providing state-of-the-art information and technology applications. Your primary responsibility will be to perform data analysis and create reusable assets for the Data & Analytics Portal, including dashboards, data visualizations, and reports. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications required for this role: Key Responsibilities: - Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights in large datasets. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support. - Document data processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference. - Analyze how changes will affect existing processes or systems and ensure data integrity post-migration. - Develop and maintain Enterprise Data Model and support AI/ML models for various analytical and data science needs. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree with 5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science or a relevant discipline. - Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL, Python, R, reports and dashboard building, analytics, and data analysis. - Strong skills in data modeling, data integration, and understanding different ways of designing data schema. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, SAP BW/HANA, etc. - Knowledge of advanced SQL programming skills, row, and column-level security, and data warehouse applications. - Ability to collaborate within and across teams to develop complex enterprise solutions and evaluate best tools in Data & Analytics.
