About the role
As a Data Analyst II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and develop scalable solutions using advanced analytics tools. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for both structured and unstructured commercial data. - Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools such as Airflow. - Automate data workflows and integrations across various systems including sales, finance, pricing, and operations. - Drive the integration of ChatGPT and LLM activities through scalable prompt-driven development workflows, and operationalize AI-assisted engineering projects. - Design and implement data marts and scalable data architectures, applying dimensional modeling techniques such as star and snowflake schemas. - Integrate data from CRM systems, financial systems, and other enterprise platforms, ensuring data consistency and governance. - Partner with analysts and data scientists to deliver clean, reliable datasets and support advanced analytics initiatives. - Lead complex data projects from design through delivery, collaborating with IT, sales, finance, and analytics teams. Qualifications Required: - 4-5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering. - Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced queries, performance tuning) and Python (data processing, automation). - Experience with data warehousing, such as Redshift and AWS.
