Project Manager with Lab Experience

As a Project Leader III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be responsible for leading, designing, and qualifying products for Laboratory products globally. Your role will involve reducing costs, driving design standardization across sites, and leading high sophisticated projects as a Program Manager. You will ensure that projects are delivered timely, to specification, and at or below targeted cost through solid engineering plans. Additionally, you will help the team grow technical depth and build proficiency across product lines. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, design, and qualify products for Laboratory products globally - Drive design standardization across sites - Lead high sophisticated projects as a Program Manager - Deliver projects timely, to specification, and at or below targeted cost - Build technical proficiency across product lines - Collaborate efficiently with sourcing, operations, quality, service, global R&D team, suppliers, vendors, and customers - Perform cost benefit analysis and finalize annualized savings for given projects - Conduct VAVE study and identify cost-out opportunities that are quality neutral - Handle end-to-end cost-out/VAVE projects from scoping to implementation - Have awareness of regulatory requirements, certification, and engineering standards Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering - VAVE certified & PMP certified (Good to have) - 10+ years of overall experience with a strong record of driving strategic Cost out / VAVE deliveries - Experience in product VAVE project execution - Proficient in Product Cost analysis, Teardown, Competitive benchmarking, Value Analysis, and Value Engineering Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with a commitment to supporting customers in accelerating life sciences research, solving analytical challenges, improving laboratory efficiency, and enhancing patient health through diagnostics and life-changing therapies.
