About the role
As a System Analyst I at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will be responsible for supporting the SolidWorks PDM Professional system. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing PDM Pro processes such as PDM Pro Management, User/Group Management, Software Installation, User Permissions, Workflow development, and documentation - Configuring and maintaining the PDM Pro system, and enhancing the processes mentioned above - Executing and overseeing regular maintenance tasks - Handling and resolving level 2 and 3 service issues and requests, diagnosing and solving various issues related to software deployment, PDM, migration strategies, installation and licensing, and software performance - Training users, creating training documentation, and collaborating with IT and business partners to develop recommendations for system improvements - Consulting the business on requirements and enhancement requests, implementing configurational and other changes, working within a validated environment, supporting validation testing, and documenting technical changes In addition, you will be expected to have the following qualifications and experience: - Ideally experience with PDM system(s), preferably SolidWorks Enterprise PDM/PDM Professional - Experience in designing interfaces and integrating with other systems - Strong analytical, technical, communication, and troubleshooting skills - 2+ years of experience working in a mechanical engineering group in a manufacturing production environment - Bachelor's degree in informatics or similar field, or several years of experience with PDM system(s), ideally with SolidWorks Enterprise PDM/PDM Professional Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers a relatively casual work environment at Bangalore, India, emphasizing collaboration and work-life balance.
